A fair question - and one we would rather you could answer for yourself. Here are the verifiable facts: who we are, who runs us, how your money and ownership are handled, and exactly how to check us independently.
Yes - and you do not have to take our word for it. NairaPacket is operated by NairaPacket Ltd, a private company limited by shares registered with Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) under RC 8774004, with Tax Identification Number 33477675-0001. The company was incorporated on 1 September 2025 under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020, with a registered office at SW8/47, 5C Ajeigbe St, MKO Abiola Way, Ibadan 200273, Oyo State.
The product itself has been in the making since 2019. In that year the team represented Nigeria at GITEX Dubai through NITDA/ONDI, and won at the 2019 Zenith Tech Fair run by Zenith Bank (Jim Ovia CFR) - listed in Zenith's records alongside names such as Flutterwave, Moniepoint, Termii and Alerzo. Legitimacy, for us, means being a named, registered, findable company with people who put their real names to it. See our legal and compliance page for the full record.
Safety here means two different things, and we treat them separately. First, account and payment safety: regulated payment functions such as card charges and bank transfers run through licensed Nigerian payment partners, and we operate KYC, transaction monitoring and reporting as a SCUML-compliant business. Second, ownership safety: what you buy is real, recorded economic ownership of verified Nigerian property, backed by our 6-Layer Ownership Protection (detailed below).
Being honest about safety also means being clear about limits. NairaPacket is not a bank, your wallet balance is not a bank deposit, and it is not NDIC-insured. Property values can move up or down. We explain this plainly on our risk disclosure page and on security.
Rather than posting testimonials you cannot check, we would rather point you to signals you can verify independently:
These are things you can confirm without trusting a single quote. Read more on our leadership page.
No. We understand exactly why the question gets asked - the Nigerian market has seen its share of platforms that promised guaranteed returns and disappeared. So the fair thing to do is not to insist you believe us, but to hand you the tools to check for yourself.
A scam avoids being found. We publish our RC number, our TIN, our office address, our leadership and our limits on purpose.
You fund your wallet, choose a verified property, and buy a "packet" - a documented, legally recognised share of the economic ownership of that property. Your ownership is recorded on the NairaPacket Ownership Ledger against a unique reference. When you want to exit, you can sell your packets on the secondary market, and the proceeds credit your wallet for withdrawal. You can also transfer, inherit, or borrow against your holdings. A fuller walkthrough is on how it works.
NairaPacket is owned and operated by NairaPacket Ltd (RC 8774004). The people accountable for it are named:
Oladipupo Muideen Olaide - Founder & CTO. A computer scientist (FUTA) with a background in fintech and payments.
Olaide Hannah Olajide - CEO. A product leader with roughly a decade across banking and fintech.
Real names, real accountability. More on our leadership page.
When you buy a packet, you acquire real, recorded, documented and legally recognised economic ownership of verified Nigerian property. This is not a points scheme or a subscription - it is an asset purchase, subject to the applicable terms. Because it is a real asset, your ownership can be sold on the secondary market, transferred, inherited, or used as collateral to borrow against. Details are on our economic ownership page.
Every property is backed by our 6-Layer Ownership Protection, so your holding is documented, not just recorded on a screen:
We want to be precise here rather than impressive. You deposit into your NairaPacket wallet through a dedicated virtual account. Until you choose a property, that balance sits in NairaPacket Ltd's corporate bank account with a licensed Nigerian bank, tracked individually on the platform ledger against a unique reference. The moment you buy ownership, the funds move directly to the real estate company that owns the property you chose - your purchase money is not kept as NairaPacket revenue. Any balance you have not committed stays available for you to withdraw.
In plain terms: your uncommitted wallet balance is money we hold and owe you. It is not a bank deposit, it is not held in a separate independently audited trust account, and it is not NDIC-insured. We would rather tell you that clearly than imply protections that do not apply.
You can withdraw your available wallet balance to a verified bank account held in your own name. If you have sold packets, the proceeds first credit your wallet, and you then withdraw from there. Withdrawals go to you - not to a third party - which is part of how we keep the flow of money accountable.
Money sitting in your wallet is yours to withdraw at any time. Where a transaction fails or is reversed, the amount is credited back to your wallet. Ownership purchases, however, are real asset purchases subject to the applicable terms - they are not a subscription with a blanket money-back guarantee. If you have a specific refund or complaint, contact support at hello@nairapacket.com and review the Terms. See our FAQ for common cases.
Because your packets are real economic ownership, you can exit by selling them on the secondary market. When a sale completes, the proceeds credit your wallet, from where you can withdraw to your own verified bank account or reinvest in another property. You can also transfer or bequeath holdings rather than selling. Browse available assets on our properties page.
On regulation: NairaPacket is a member of ANMFIN (the Association of Nigerian Model Finance Institutions - a membership body, not a government regulator) and is SCUML compliant for AML/CFT. Full detail is on our legal and compliance and risk disclosure pages.
