NairaPacket is owned and operated by a duly incorporated Nigerian company:
Our incorporation can be independently verified on the CAC public register using the RC number above.
NairaPacket Ltd is a technology company that provides a platform for fractional, economic property ownership. We are transparent about the limits of that status:
We believe stating this clearly is more trustworthy than implying licences we do not hold. As our product and the regulatory landscape evolve, we will pursue any additional authorisations that our activities require, and we will update this page accordingly.
NairaPacket Ltd does not currently hold a CBN, SEC or other financial-services operating licence in its own name. Where a regulated activity is involved, it is delivered through appropriately licensed third-party partners.
Association of Nigerian Model Finance Institutions.
What it covers: membership of a recognised self-regulatory network of model finance institutions, which promotes shared standards of conduct, transparency and consumer protection among its members. It is a membership body, not a government regulator, and does not itself confer a banking or deposit licence.
Special Control Unit against Money Laundering (EFCC).
What it covers: registration and compliance with Nigeria's anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing (AML/CFT) regime - including customer due diligence (KYC), transaction monitoring, record-keeping and suspicious-activity reporting. It governs how we detect and report financial crime; it is not an investment or deposit guarantee.
To set expectations honestly, please understand that NairaPacket is not:
Property ownership carries real risk, including that values can fall and that packets may not always be immediately resellable. Please read our Risk Disclosure.
When you buy packets, you acquire a real, recorded economic ownership interest in a specific underlying property, proportional to what you have contributed. This interest is documented and assignable - you can hold it, add to it, transfer it, or use it as collateral.
Ownership is structured through a defined legal documentation chain (Section 6) rather than by issuing a separate registered land title to every fractional owner. Your holding, its size and its history are recorded on the NairaPacket Ownership Ledger, and are backed by the estate-level title and agreements held for the property.
In short: your ownership is economic and contractual, evidenced by documents and a ledger entry - not a speculative token, and not a mere promise to pay.
Every property is protected by our 6-Layer Ownership Protection. Only properties that pass every check are opened for ownership:
The root legal title to the underlying estate or property.
Governs how the property is acquired and how packets are allocated.
Confirms the property is free of undisclosed liens or disputes.
Assigns the economic ownership rights in the property to owners.
Independent legal confirmation of the title and documentation.
The authoritative, per-user record of packet ownership and history.
Important: your wallet balance is not a bank deposit and is not insured by the NDIC. NairaPacket is not a licensed deposit-taking institution. We hold these funds to enable ownership transactions on the platform, not as a savings or interest-bearing account.
If you have a complaint or dispute, we follow a clear, escalating process:
These provisions operate together with the dispute-resolution terms in our Terms of Service.
NairaPacket operates under Nigerian law. The principal legislation relevant to our activities includes:
